The Susan B. Krevoy Eating Disorder Program for Adults and Adolescents is an affordable eating disorder treatment option that provides exceptional care in the greater Los Angeles area. True to our mission, we offer comprehensive outpatient individual and group psychotherapy, and accept most insurance plans. Our staff consists of skilled and compassionate treatment professionals including licensed psychologists, a board certified physician, and a registered dietician. We offer a safe, nurturing environment where you can heal.
Dr. Susan B. Krevoy who had devoted her private practice to the treatment of eating disorders for over twenty years founded our program. In her work, she saw many people recover, but was troubled by the growing number of adults and adolescents who struggled with eating disorders in her community. She recognized that too many people were suffering alone, unable to find affordable treatment options that would be flexible enough to allow them to also manage their family, career and school obligations. Dr. Krevoy dreamed of extending the success of her private practice to the many in need in her community. Our program is the culmination of that dream.
Doctor Susan B. Krevoy saved me from myself. At the time, I didn’t know why I ate and binged. At night, the weight of the day and my own self loathing led me down the grocery store aisles compulsively stocking up. I was compelled by the urgent call of escape.
Once I was in therapy, I started to understand how I tried to fill the emptiness inside of me with food. Dr. Susan was a mirror to the self no one else was allowed to see. She believed in me. I began to accept my imperfections and realized I’m not perfect but really, I’m no so bad. And I have my life back. My messy, imperfect life. – L.
Dear Dr. Krevoy –
I wanted to thank you for the life-changing experience of being in the Program. The Program was my salvation, really. It gave me the tools to deal with my ED, tools I was lacking and which are invaluable. I would recommend the program to anyone who suffers from a food disorder. – D.
I want to thank you all from the bottom of my heart for your kindness, patience and insights during my time at SBK/EDP. My weight has stabilized, my food choices are healthier, my mood is no longer depressed and my anxiety is at minimal levels. I consider myself a success story and you played a key role in my growth process. Forever grateful. – S.
