Our staff of licensed psychologists, registered dieticians, registered art therapist, pre-doctoral interns, post-doctoral fellows and fitness instructors meets weekly to coordinate clients' care. Our staff actively collaborates with mental health professionals who are involved in the client’s care outside of the program.

Susan B. Krevoy , Ph.D. Dr. Susan Krevoy is a licensed clinical psychologist and certified psychoanalyst specializing in the area of eating disorders. She has been in private practice in Beverly Hills for over 20 years. She received her doctorate from UCLA, post -doctoral training from the Wright Institute Los Angeles and UCLA and certification as a psychoanalyst from the Los Angeles Institute and Society for Psychoanalytic Studies (LAISPS). She is a member and instructor at LAISPS, founder and director of the Certificate Program in Psychoanalytic Psychotherapy, and founding director of the Trauma Center, the community outreach program for LAISPS. She is also on the faculty of UCLA Extension, and is a member of the Board of Directors for LAISPS and Founder and Director of the Professional Clinical Staff at Beit T'Shuvah. Dr. Krevoy served on California's Board of Medical Quality Assurance and was the Clinical Director for PsychSystems Psychiatric Day Treatment Program. Dr. Krevoy has helped design and direct various in-patient eating disorder programs and consulted with the Beverly Hills School District on the prevention and treatment of eating disorders. A recognized expert, she has been teaching courses on eating disorders for the past 20 years.

Sandeep Atwal, MA is a doctoral candidate in Clinical Psychology at Pepperdine University. She also holds a Master's in Psychology with an emphasis on marriage and family therapy. She is currently a pre-doctoral intern at Wright Institute Los Angeles.

Jeff Dooley, CPA, MB, MA, MFTI #57526 is the Program Administrator of the Adolescent Program. He received his Masters in Clinical Psychology from Pepperdine University in May 2008 and is currently working toward MFT licensure. He has been working with adolescents and adolescent issues on a volunteer capacity for the last twenty-five years. For the last twenty years, Jeff has been involved in the lives of high net-worth and entertainment industry families assisting them with communication issues and helping them to better understand the underlying issues of eating disorders. His philosophy stresses continued life functioning with as little disruption in the child's life and the integration of the entire family in treatment. Jeff earned his Bachelor of Science degree in business from Fairfield University and is a licensed Certified Public Accountant in both California and New York. He has also earned a Masters in Business from the Stern School of Business at New York University specializing in International Finance.


Lynne Friedman-Gell, Ph.D., PSY 22107 is a licensed clinical psychologist in private practice working with adolescents, adults, and couples in Studio City, CA. She has been working with the SBK program since 2000, and is currently the IOP Administrative Coordinator. Lynne has previously worked as clinical staff and community outreach coordinator. Lynne is the Clinical Supervisor for Insight Treatment Program working with adolescents and families with addiction and behavioral problems. In addition, Lynne conducts psychological screenings and provides support services for Fertility Counseling Services. She is also authorized by the State of California to provide treatment for Gambling Problems. Lynne received her Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology from the California School of Professional Psychology and completed 2 years of psychodynamic training at the Wright Institute Los Angeles. Lynne has been a certified addiction counselor since 1996, and active in the recovery community since 1992.

Myra Pomerantz, Ph.D., PSY 15885 is the Clinical Director at the Wright Institute Los Angeles. She is a psychoanalyst affiliated with The New Center For Psychoanalysis and works with adults and couples. She has particular interest in mother/daughter relationships as well as eating disorders.

Donna Wolfe, Ph.D. is a licensed psychologist. She is the Insurance Liaison for our IOP Program and has been on our clinical staff since 2001 as the Program Coordinator, individual therapist, leader of one of our two Process Groups, and the leader of the Saturday Support Group for those with eating disorders who are unable to participate in the full Intensive Outpatient Program. She received her Psy.D. from Pepperdine University and her postgraduate training at the Wright Institute Los Angeles. Donna is currently in private practice in Hermosa Beach, CA where she specializes in working with adults in crisis, those facing major life transitions, aging issues, and eating disorders.

 
Sacha Bollas, Psy.D., is a clinical psychologist who has worked with adolescents, young adults, and adults in both short and long term psychodynamic psychotherapy. Dr. Bollas was educated in England where he concentrated in sculpture and painting and then gained a degree in cultural studies and history of art. His diverse background as both an artist and art historian, and in psychoanalysis and psychology, brings a unique understanding of creative life to the therapeutic process.

Gabriella Calò, Psy.D. Dr. Calò received her doctorate degree in Clinical Psychology from the California School of Professional Psychology, Los Angeles, California's largest and oldest school for Psychologists. Dr. Calò is a post-doctoral fellow practicing psychoanalytic psychotherapy at the Wright Institute Los Angeles. As a staff member with the Susan B. Krevoy Eating Disorders Program Dr. Calò currently co-leads one of the two process groups, and provides individual psychotherapy to individuals and families. Dr. Calò utilizes her bilingual skills and cultural sensitivity in her work with multicultural populations. Dr. Calò's clinical interests include dissociative phenomenology (from dissociation and dissociative symptoms to complex trauma and dissociative disorders), high-risk behaviors, impulse-control behaviors, such as self-injurious behaviors and high-risk sexual behaviors, addiction, eating disorders, body image issues, family issues, positive psychology, positive emotions, psychology of intercultural adaptation and multiculturalism.

Jessica Daehnert, MA Jessica grew up in Orange County, California and received her Bachelor of Arts degree in Art History from Colorado College in 2005. After graduating, she began her doctoral studies in Clinical Psychology at Argosy University, Orange County. She will graduate with a Psy.D. in July 2010. Her interests within clinical psychology include attachment theory, contemporary psychoanalytic theory and technique, and the significance of early attachment issues and disorders along the autistic spectrum. She is particularly interested in body image in children and adolescents and the relationship between body image and healthy self-esteem.

Allison Erdman, Ph.D. (PSB 34670) is a full-time Post-Doctoral Fellow at the Wright Institute Los Angeles and a clinical staff member with the Susan B. Krevoy Eating Disorder Program. She received her Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology from CSPP-LA, and her B.A. degree in Psychology from the University of Maryland at College Park. Allison has over 7 years of experience providing psychotherapy to individuals in a variety of settings, including the University of Southern California Student Counseling Center, Verdugo Mental Health Outpatient Center, Los Angeles Valley College and the Southern California Counseling Center. She currently works with individuals and couples in addition to co-leading the Multi-Family Group.

Pamela Georgette, MA Pamela Georgette received her Master's Degree from Phillips Graduate Institute in Marriage and Family Therapy and Art Therapy with a specializing in Dual Diagnosis. She has extensive experience with dually diagnosed clients and those affected by addictions. Pamela began her career as a therapist at The California Family Counseling Center working largely with dually diagnosed clients and their loved ones. During her graduate program, she designed an art therapy group for recovering women who are survivors of sexual abuse. Pamela spent the last 2 years working as a bilingual art therapist with families in the East Los Angeles area. Pamela facilitates art therapy groups at an inpatient women's program for trauma and emotional regulation. Pamela also has a private practice focusing on the treatment of addictions, trauma and eating disorders.

Eve Lahijani MS, RD is a Registered Dietitian in private practice in West Los Angeles. Eve has a Bachelors degree from UCLA and a Masters of Science in Nutritional Science from CSULA. Her experience includes serving as a medical nutrition therapist, clinical educator and corporate dietitian. Eve's expertise lies in helping patients separate eating and food from their emotions, uncover nutritional myths, utilize mindful eating, exploration of eating behavior and re-integrating food/eating as part of a healthy life. She teaches patients how to make satisfying food choices and how to listen to their internal cues to understand exactly when to eat, how much to eat and what to eat. Just as important, Eve has recovered from her own struggle with food and eating. Having gone through the process of finally making peace with food by transforming it into a healthy, natural part of her life - she is dedicated to help her patients do the same.

Vanessa Pawlowski, BA is a doctoral candidate in Clinical Psychology at the George Washington University in Washington, DC. She is currently a full-time pre-doctoral intern at the Wright Institute. She co-leads the Monday night Process Group and conducts the in-person intake interviews for the Susan B. Krevoy Eating Disorder Program. Her clinical interests include addiction, group dynamics, and couples therapy.

Philip Pierce, D.D.S., Ph.D. is a graduate of Penn State University. He has a D.D.S. degree from N.Y.U. Dental School and received a Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology from Pacifica Graduate Institute. He is a lecturer at U.C.L.A. Dental School in Public Health and teaches behavioral sciences. He is a Postdoctoral Fellow at the Wright Institute and leads a group in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy; he has special interest in treating obsessive compulsive disorder, medical phobias and eating disorders.

Tracy Pollack, Psy.D. is a full-time postdoctoral fellow at WILA. She holds a Doctorate in Clinical Psychology from Roosevelt University in Chicago, IL. She also holds a Master of Science in Education with a concentration on early childhood special education from the University of Miami in Coral Gables, FL. Her past experiences include teaching middle school special education, working with children and families in a pediatric developmental center, and working in a partial hospitalization program for adolescents and adults with eating disorders and self-injurious behaviors.

Stephen L. Salter, Psy. D. is pursuing a certificate in psychoanalytic psychotherapy at the Wright Institute in Los Angeles. His interests include philosophy and metaphysics as it relates to psychoanalytic therapy. He received his doctorate from the Wright Institute in Berkeley, a clinical program emphasizing social, cultural, and psychodynamic perspectives. His professional interests include working with children, adults, couples, and groups, with a special interest in eating disorders.

Michele Agosti. After finishing college with a degree in Art History/Media Arts from Chatham College in Pittsburgh, PA, Michele pursued a career in the arts in Southern California. Feeling disappointed and unfulfilled by her career choice, she left the art world and completed her yoga teacher training through White Lotus Foundation in Santa Barbara. Michele has also completed a teacher training in prenatal yoga through Mamaste Yoga. Taking a non-dogmatic approach to yoga, Michele's classes emphasize the use of breath, longer holds, and proper alignment to build awareness and connection to the body and the subtle movements of the body.
